Hospitality Management Corporation Completes $4.5 Million Renovation
of the 189-room Holiday Inn Austin Midtown in Texas

President/CEO of Hospitality Management Corporation, has announced the
Re-Grand Opening of the Holiday Inn
Austin Midtown in Austin, TX. After months of renovations and $4.5 million dollars, the
Holiday Inn Austin Midtown hosted their Re-Grand Opening on November
17, 2011.
The evening was designed to showcase the many changes and upgrades to
the property.
New furniture, wall coverings, carpet and amenities were added to the
189-guest
rooms as well as complete upgrades to the two presidential suites. A
new
lobby-bar was added that is open at 6 a.m. for breakfast until
midnight. The
guest corridors received new carpet and wall coverings with lighting
and
detailed wood molding on the elevator landings. New landscaping was
added to
the 7-acre site that is just 5 minutes from the University of Texas and
10
minutes from downtown Austin. Leo Spriggs, President and CEO of
Hospitality
Management Corporation, the management company operating the hotel for
the last
four years said, “The ownership of the hotel made a big commitment to
the
redevelopment of the north Austin community. We are proud of the new
look and
believe the hotel is now ideally suited for both corporate and leisure
guests.”The evening included a silent auction that raised $2,500 for the Ronald McDonald House in Austin. Over four bands and seven stations located throughout the hotel entertained the over 400 travel and meeting professionals from Austin. The theme for the evening was “A Night of Stars”. From bar-b-que outside on the patio, to real longhorn steer, to seafood and carving stations in the grand ballroom, guests were treated to an evening of fun and entertainment. The Holiday Inn Austin Midtown has over 12 thousand sq. ft. of meeting space, ideal for groups of 10-500 persons. Upgraded amenities included complementary High Speed Internet Access, 24/7 exercise room, outdoor pool, and complementary business center.
