Hospitality Management Corporation Selected to Manage the Sheraton Omaha Hotel,
the Former Crowne Plaza Omaha-Old Mill  in Omaha, Nebraska

 $4 million Renovation Slated to Begin


Omaha, NE, September 1, 2011:  Leo Spriggs, President/CEO of Hospitality Management Corporation, has announced the conversion of the Crowne Plaza Omaha-Old Mill to the Sheraton Omaha Hotel in Omaha, NE.
 
Owned by an investment fund managed by Latitude Management Real Estate Investors, Inc. (LMREI) and managed by Hospitality Management Corporation (HMC), the former Crowne Plaza will begin a $4 million renovation to all guest rooms and public areas soon after opening.  The hotel will remain open throughout the renovations, which will begin in September 2011 and are scheduled to be completed by the end of January 2012.
  • The Sheraton Omaha Hotel is the first Sheraton in Omaha for the first time in over 10 years. After the renovations are complete, the hotelwill offer 221 rooms that will be fully refurbished and equipped with an oversized work desk, a custom-designed ergonomic chair, high-speed internet, LCD flat panel television, MP3 docking station and the all white Sheraton Sweet Sleeper bed, designed to meet AAA’s Five Diamond Award criteria. The hotel also offers more than 9,000 square feet of flexible meeting space with all the latest in meetings technology, a full-service restaurant, large indoor pool, and fully equipped fitness facility featuring the brand’s revolutionary new health and fitness program, Sheraton Fitness Programmed by Core Performance.
  • The hotel is located eight miles from the heart of downtown, and offers easy access to many of Omaha’s Fortune 500 and technology businesses including Mutual of Omaha, Berkshire Hathaway, Con Argra Foods and Yahoo. The hotel is conveniently located near the University of Nebraska Omaha campus, Westroads Shopping Center and the shops at Village Pointe, and approximately 10 miles from Quest Convention Center, Old Market and the Henry Doorly Zoo.
