LITCHFIELD PARK, ARIZ. – (September 8, 2011) –Pyramid Resort Group has named George K. McGann as Vice President, Managing Director and General Manager of The Wigwam, the 331-room iconic independent Phoenix area resort that dates to 1918.

With more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, McGann brings unique insight and dynamic leadership to his new role with The Wigwam.

Previously, McGann was Vice President, Managing Director for the Atlanta Marriott Buckhead Hotel and Conference Center. He was responsible for converting this 349-room hotel and its 30,000-square-foot IACC-certified Conference Center from an independent property to a Marriott and oversaw all operations, including initiating training programs that empowered management and associates and enhanced guest satisfaction.

McGann, his wife and young daughter are relocating to the Litchfield Park area from Atlanta. He looks forward to joining the community and becoming active in local industry organizations.
