Knowland Moves Reports to the Cloud
Innovative Business Development Firm Enhances Client Experience
McLean, VA, 10/18/10 – The Knowland Group, the leading provider of business development solutions to the hospitality industry, recently moved all auto-generated email and report communications to the ‘cloud.’ Implementing this change will improve Knowland’s client experience and increase accessibility. Once the shift is completed, clients will be able to more quickly and easily receive information.
“Each week we send out thousands of report emails to our clients,” said CEO Michael K. McKean. “To better serve them, we’ve moved away from dedicated servers to a cloud solution that will allow us to scale to millions of reports on a weekly basis with no degradation of performance.”
Comp Set Reports, Contact Research Reports, and Weekly Outbound Sales Activity Reports are among the auto-populated reports sent directly to Knowland’s clients via email. These reports contain vast amounts of crucial sales data. They also require an extended amount of server time in order to be distributed to various clients each day.
“Due to the increase of client demand for this vital data, Knowland is switching reports to the cloud in order to generate and deliver them more rapidly,” McKean added. “Moving forward, clients will continue to receive reports without incurring any changes other than they will be receiving them much, much faster.”
Updating the method in which clients receive auto-generated communications was the next step towards delivering a complete cloud service. Utilizing cloud-based technology, Knowland’s Readers, Insight, and Target Net products are Software-as-a-Service programs that can be accessed from any computer connected to the Internet. By developing and implementing innovative technology, Knowland continues to add client value.
