Robert Haislip Appointed Director of Operations at
Benchmark's Lansdowne Resort in Virginia

The Woodlands (Houston), Texas, July 2010 … Benchmark Hospitality International, a leading US-based hospitality management company, has named Robert (Bob) Haislip director of operations for Lansdowne Resort.  The resort is located between historic Leesburg, Virginia, and Washington, DC.  David Kohlasch, Benchmark’s general manager at Lansdowne Resort, made the announcement. 
 
“I am very pleased to welcome Bob to our resort,” said Mr. Kohlasch.  “He brings important senior-level hotel operations experience to Lansdowne, gained at major properties throughout the United States, as well as a solid food and beverage leadership background.”
 
Bob Haislip was previously assistant general manager and director of operations for Chateau on the Lake Resort in Branson, Missouri, a Zagat Guide Top 100 Resort.  During his tenure there, Mr. Haislip oversaw the implementation of operational improvements and expanded guest services.  He also assisted in the opening of a luxury spa.  Haislip’s initial position with the property was as food & beverage director.
 
Mr. Haislip has held operational positions and for many years and served in food & beverage leadership assignments for much of his hospitality career, working for hotels in San Pedro, California, Minneapolis and New York City.  Earlier in his career he was employed in restaurant and banquets management.
 
A native of Maryland, Mr. Haislip brings significant knowledge of the greater Washington, DC market to his new position at Lansdowne Resort.  He attended both Montgomery College in Maryland and the University of Maryland, School of Business.  He is relocating to Leesburg, Virginia.
