Kistner added that the appointments reinforce an already influential and experienced team committed to the advancement of Pegasus’ portfolio of distribution, financial services, hotel representation, business intelligence, Web services and reservations products and services. “My time as CEO of Pegasus, and before that as COO, has been marked by a strong commitment to product innovation in the areas where Pegasus is soundly the global market leader – distribution, financial services, reservations technology and hotel representation. We have also focused on the development, introduction and implementation of next generation solutions like our award-winning central reservation system, RezView® NG; our business intelligence offering; and Web services through Milestone Internet Marketing,” said Kistner. “With our strong operational leadership, solid strategic contributors and well-respected industry veterans who understand the evolving needs of the industry and our customers’ business needs, we ensure the next generation of Pegasus maintains our leadership position – across the board – in solving the business technology needs of hotels and travel distributors.” Peacock will assume full responsibility for information technology (IT), including areas such as development, enterprise services, quality assurance, architecture, infrastructure and more. He comes to Pegasus with more than 20 years of hands-on experience optimizing company investments in IT, most recently in the IT Effectiveness practice at Archstone Consulting, a consulting firm he helped found in 2003. Former CIO Aaron Shepherd will assume the role of Pegasus Fellow, with a focus on the strategic evolution of Pegasus’ next generation CRS, RezView NG, while working closely with both Kistner and Lapekas on strategic growth and continued industry innovation. Lapekas, another noted industry IT talent, will assume a lead role in managing complex and significant business development and product positioning initiatives, such as Pegasus’ recent agreement with HP. Leutwyler expands his current role as chief marketing officer (CMO) managing all product, sales, customer care and marketing, to also now include, as COO, responsibility for strategic planning and continuous process improvement. He will also continue to serve as president of Pegasus’ leading hotel marketing, sales and representation service, Utell® Hotels & Resorts. Rheams assumes leadership of the team focused on mid- to large-size sales of RezView NG. She previously served with AltiusPAR as general manager with responsibility for U.S. operations and global sales, account management, marketing and business development. She also was president of TRUST International, Inc., and for 14 years with American Airlines and Sabre in various management positions. Montemurro will lead the CRS product team, focusing on strategic planning and market positioning of RezView NG. He joins Pegasus from TravelCLICK, where he most recently was responsible for developing and implementing product strategy in the company’s CRS and distribution business. “Pegasus is proud to celebrate 20 years of providing innovative solutions to hotels and agents around the globe.” Pegasus Solutions is the world’s leading provider of technology and services to hotels and travel distributors, supplying state-of-the-art central reservation systems and electronic distribution services, advanced agency commission processing and payment services, and hotel marketing representation services.
