Beach-based developer Kite Properties, LLC recently opened a
state-of-the-art, 85-room Hampton Inn in Okeechobee, Florida.
Atlanta-based Hotel Equities serves as the managing partner. The
hotel fronts Florida SR 70, one half mile east of US 441. Mary
Chesley is the hotel’s General Manager. Developed by Kite Properties, LLC, a hotel development and investment company, the property is the company’s second completed hospitality project in Florida and marks the continuation of the company’s growth plan to develop more Hilton and Marriott brand hotels. Kite Properties served as both the lead developer and investor in the project. The hotel was designed by LLW Architects of Memphis, TN and constructed by Pinkerton & Laws of Orlando, FL. Hotel Equities holds 30 hotels open for business in its portfolio and another 14 under development.
