Hotel Equities Celebrates Grand Opening of the
Courtyard by Marriott-Buford, Georgia

Atlanta, GA–August 3, 2009 – Atlanta-based Hotel Equities (HE) recently celebrated the Grand Opening of the Courtyard by Marriott-Buford, GA with a ribbon cutting ceremony hosted by Fred Cerrone, Hotel Equities President and CEO. The110-room hotel is located at 1405 Mall of Georgia Boulevard in Gwinnett County, just north of Atlanta. The hotel’s professional staff includes Matt Crall as General Manager, Stephan Roberts as Hotel Manager, Rosa Guerra as Assistant General Manager and Malinda Foster as Sales Director. Glenn Lewis, Regional Vice President of Franchise Lodging, Marriott International, helped to cut the ceremonial ribbon. 
Other dignitaries in attendance were Jann Moore, Assistant for External Affairs, Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners; Sandy Richardson, Membership Program Manager, Gwinnett County Chamber of Commerce; Caryn McGarity, Executive Director, and Lisa Anders, Communications Director, for the Gwinnett Convention & Visitors Bureau. “We are excited about the Grand Opening of the Courtyard,” said Mr. Cerrone. “It features the brand's new, reinvented prototype design that Marriott is rolling out across the nation as the company builds its next generation of Courtyard hotels." Mr. Cerrone went on to explain that the brand’s traditional front desk has been replaced with separate "welcome podiums" to create more personal and private interactions when guests check in. Seating options include a communal table in the middle of the lobby, more private media booths with high-definition TVs and semi-enclosed lounge areas. A signature element of the new lobby is the Courtyard GoBoard, a 52-inch LCD touch screen with local information, maps, weather and news. Guests can use the touch screen to find restaurants, local attractions and directions. Guests have the following food and beverage options: the Courtyard Café, a breakfast restaurant; The Market, a 24-hour self-serve pantry; and the Center Court Lounge & Bar. The hotel features a lobby-level business library with individual workstations, ergonomic chairs, personal computers, complimentary high-speed Internet access, a printer, a copier and telephones. Other amenities include an indoor heated pool and whirlpool spa, a fitness center and an elegant fire pit in the outdoor area just off the lobby.
