 Christopher Meyers Named Executive at Chef Glen Cove Mansion

Glen Cove, New York, December 2008 � Glen Cove Mansion Hotel and Conference Center has announced the appointment of Christopher Meyers as executive chef for the award-winning property. Ata Kashanian, general manager, made the announcement.

Christopher Meyers is a Culinary Institute of America and French Culinary Institute-trained chef.  He was previously executive chef for the Doubletree Guest Suites Hotel, located in Times Square in Manhattan.  
 
Chef Meyers has vast experience working for landmark properties within New York.  He has served as banquet chef for The Roosevelt Hotel and as sous chef for the Marriott Marquis.  Meyers also invested three years of his culinary career as chef tournant at the Five Star, Five Diamond Four Seasons Hotel in New York.    His first position within the hotel industry was chef tournant for the signature Plaza Hotel, with culinary responsibilities in the property�s renowned Edwardian Room.
 
Christopher Meyers has also served as chef for a number of independent restaurants in the New York area, including Henry�s Restaurant, Iridium Restaurant, and Trio Café.  He launched his career at the New York Athletic Club, serving as saucier.
 
Chef Meyers attended the Culinary Institute of America and received his diploma from the French Culinary Institute.  He received expertise in wine from the Windows on the World Wine School.  Meyers has been recognized multiple times by the Societe Culinaire Philanthropique�s Annual Salon of Culinary Arts & Exhibition of New York.   He resides in Sunnyside, New York.
