has announced the appointment of Robert Villalta as general manager of
Glen Cove Mansion Hotel and Conference Center, located in Glen Cove, New
York. Ellen Sinclair, vice president, made the announcement.

Prior to assuming his responsibilities at Glen Cove Mansion, Robert Villalta was corporate director of operations of the Amsterdam Hospitality Group, overseeing and repositioning properties in New York City, Miami and Charlotte, North Carolina. Additionally, he has served as general manager of The Dream Hotel, a Preferred Hotels property, located in New York City.
Mr. Villalta has been previously affiliated with Starwood Hotels & Resorts, employed as regional controller for the W Court Hotel and the W Tuscany Hotel, both located in Manhattan. During his tenure with Doral Hotels & Resorts of New York City, Villalta served as area controller and also as an accounting manager.
When Starwood purchased Doral Hotels Management Corporation, Mr. Villalta was an integral part of the transition team, helping ensure a seamless operational transfer. Earlier in his career, Villalta served as chief accountant for The Inn at Mill River, located in Stamford, Connecticut.
Mr. Villalta is a graduate of Concordia College of Bronxville, New York, with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. He is active in the Hotel Executives Club of New York City. He and his family reside in Port Washington, New York.
