Carlson Hotels Worldwide Names Karen deKanter
Director of National Sales

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (Sept. 11, 2007) Carlson Hotels Worldwide today announced the hiring of Karen deKanter as the new director of National Sales. 

In her new role, deKanter is responsible for generating new national accounts for Carlson Hotels Worldwide and raising awareness about the global solutions Carlson can provide. Focusing on accounts based in New England, deKanter will work to drive incremental revenue in the group sector.

Prior to joining Carlson Hotels Worldwide, deKanter served as corporate sales director of global accounts for Newmarket International, an industry leader in sales and catering automation for the hospitality industry. deKanter has also served as Associate Director of Sales for Nine Zero Hotel in Boston and Senior Group Sales Manager for Westin Copley Place Hotel in Boston. deKanter earned her B.S. in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the University of Houston. deKanter reports to Brad Penrith, senior director of National Sales for Carlson Hotels Worldwide.
