Revenue Management leader listens to users for product development guidance
.
ATLANTA, GA, April 26, 2007 The Rainmaker Group, the world leader in automated revenue management software and services to the casino gaming, hospitality and multi-family housing industries for total property profitability, concluded its third annual Client Steering Committee meeting after harvesting a gold mine of development ideas from its power users.
.
Rainmaker hosted top revenue management executives from MGM Mirage, Boyd Gaming, Omni Hotels, Harrahs Entertainment, Borgata, Morgans Hotels and other companies at the Hotel Healdsburg in Northern Californias Sonoma wine country for a three-day conference in early April.  The focus of the Rainmaker Client Steering Committee meeting was to gather creative input from clients for its Product Roadmap that will inform product development in the coming year.

Bruce Barfield, principal at The Rainmaker Group, said, Our gaming hotel and hospitality clients are important members of Rainmakers revenue management think tank on future product development.  Our Product Roadmap is an evolving product plan for future development that benefits all Rainmakers users.  The Rainmaker Groups revolutionSM revenue management system for casino gaming hotels and its revolution LRO SM revenue optimization system for the multi-family housing industry are widely installed throughout both markets.

The Rainmaker Group
.
Brad Anderson, corporate director of revenue management for Omni Hotels, said, I have attended numerous user conferences and was pleasantly surprised by the collaborative approach Rainmaker took at its California meeting.  Rainmaker clearly values its customers input for the user-driven product development roadmap.  One thing you can always count on with the Rainmaker Group, whatever the customer wants, the customer receives.

This years keynote was delivered by Sheryl E. Kimes Ph.D., the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration professor of operations management, who expanded the groups thinking with her high-level discussion of effective revenue management strategies for restaurants and food and beverage operators.  But when the work was done the group turned its attention to local color and entertainment.

Rainmakers Tammy Farley said, We value our clients and the time they take to work with us, so we did our best to thank them.  One evening we had a fantastic non-tourist dinner after hours at a local winery.  And for fun we flew in Jimmy Hopper from Las Vegas.  Jimmy was named Performer of the Year and Pop Vocalist of the Year and he gave us an evening of great entertainment.  Farley said the most valuable result of the Conference was the sense of partnership the group developed personally and professionally.
