Brad Anderson, corporate director of revenue management for Omni Hotels,
said, “I have attended numerous user conferences and was pleasantly surprised
by the collaborative approach Rainmaker took at its California meeting.
Rainmaker clearly values its customers’ input for the user-driven product
development roadmap. One thing you can always count on with the Rainmaker
Group, whatever the customer wants, the customer receives.”
This year’s keynote was delivered by Sheryl E. Kimes Ph.D., the Cornell
University School of Hotel Administration professor of operations management,
who expanded the group’s thinking with her high-level discussion of effective
revenue management strategies for restaurants and food and beverage operators.
But when the work was done the group turned its attention to local color
and entertainment.
Rainmaker’s Tammy Farley said, “We value our clients and the time they
take to work with us, so we did our best to thank them. One evening
we had a fantastic non-tourist dinner after hours at a local winery.
And for fun we flew in Jimmy Hopper from Las Vegas. Jimmy was named
‘Performer of the Year’ and ‘Pop Vocalist of the Year’ and he gave us an
evening of great entertainment.” Farley said the most valuable result
of the Conference was the sense of partnership the group developed personally
and professionally.
