.
Denvers newest boutique Spa set to open November 2006
DENVER, CO Oct. 23, 2006 Mark Hickey, senior vice president of operations for Destination Hotels & Resorts, today announced the appointment of Katie Pederson as spa director of Denvers soon to be newest urban oasis The Spa at The Inverness. Set to open November 15, The Spa at The Inverness Hotel, a Destination Hotels & Resorts property, will offer hand-selected body treatments, facials and massages that will awaken a guests senses and take the Day Spa experience to new heights.

With more than ten years of Day Spa management and technical expertise in Colorado, Pederson takes the helm of a Spa in the making. I am very excited to be a part of The Inverness team thats collaborating on this wonderful hotel endeavor, said Katie Pederson. Our focus for the new Spa is to provide an authentic Colorado urban retreat where guests can escape and indulge in the lasting health and wellness benefits of spa therapy.

As Spa Director, Pederson is the key person responsible for making a guests visit to The Spa at The Inverness an experience rather than an appointment. With construction efforts in progress, she is involved in every facet of the Spa ranging from major decisions such as product selection, technician hiring and architectural space design to more subtle yet important details including towel selection, spa aroma and music selection.

Prior to joining the Spa at The Inverness, Pederson was the Director of Technical Service at the popular Essentiels Spa in Boulder. In this capacity, she managed Spa operations including managing and scheduling 60 technicians in 22 rooms 11 hours per day, revising menu offerings, maintaining customer satisfaction and reconciling financials. She is a certified Spa Supervisor and certified Endermologie Technician.

Katie is a wonderful addition to our Spa team, said Curtis Bova, director of sales and marketing at The Inverness Hotel. Her expertise in the urban spa market coupled with her self-motivating and charismatic personality is exactly what we need to make our Spa vision a reality. The addition of the Spa is the largest undertaking this hotel has taken in the past 14 years and I could not think of a more capable person to be spearheading this initiative.

More details on Denvers newest spa will be available early November.  For information on Spa employment opportunities or to learn more about The Inverness Hotels accommodations, special packages and dining options, please visit www.invernesshotel.com or call (800) 832-9053.
