Growing Golf Management Companies in U.S.

..

Destination One of Two Hospitality Management Companies Recognized
by Golf Inc. Magazine for Growth in Golf Portfolio

Englewood, Colo. Sept. 18, 2006 Next week Destination Hotels & Resorts will be honored by Golf Inc. Magazine as one of the fastest growing golf management companies in the country. Destination, the fifth largest independent hospitality company in the United States, will be presented the award at the Golf Inc. annual conference on Sept. 25 in Amelia Island, Fla.

The award is given to the 10 Fastest Growing Management Companies in the United States with more than 10 courses. The publication surveyed 180 golf management companies and determined the ones that had the largest increase in 18-hole or equivalents from June 2005 to May 2006. Destination was noted for its 15 percent increase in courses under company management from 13.5 courses in 2005 to 15.5 in 2006. The rise in Destination courses includes the addition of the Prospector and Tumble Creek courses at Suncadia in Roslyn, Wash. to the portfolio.

The Destination golf collection will continue to grow with the opening of the Peter Jacobson/Jim Hardy-designed Rope Rider course at Suncadia which is expected to be completed in 2007. Suncadia is a four-season, 6,300-acre resort community featuring two golf courses, the Arnold Palmer-designed Prospector course and the Rope Rider course which will open in 2007. The Prospector Inn, which opened in July of 2005, is the first building to be completed in The Village, which will ultimately include shops, boutiques and restaurants, sports and recreational facilities.  Within Suncadia is Tumble Creek, a 2,600-acre private community featuring a Tom Doak-designed golf course which opened in June 2006.

Its an honor to be recognized by Golf Inc. for our growth in this important sector of our business, said Rich Taylor, director of national golf sales and marketing for Destination. Golf continues to be an integral part of our guests vacation experience and we are constantly looking to add courses in distinctive vacation destinations to our collection. Destination is one of only two hospitality management companies noted on the list.
