In addition, 11 Corinthia hotels in major European cities including Budapest, St. Petersburg, Prague and Lisbon will join the Wyndham system under a previously announced agreement with the Corinthia Group of Companies of Malta to jointly manage hotels in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

These agreements and our expanding development pipeline demonstrate the Wyndham brands appeal to owners and investors who seek a high-quality, upscale brand for competitive markets, said Steven A. Rudnitsky, Wyndham Hotel Group president and chief executive officer.

By clarifying the Wyndham brands position in the upscale segment and committing the necessary operational, marketing and distribution resources to nurture and grow the system, we have established a compelling value proposition for developers in key primary and secondary markets, he said.

Wyndham Hotels and Resorts has teamed up with iconic architect Michael Graves to create a unique, integrated interior and exterior look for Wyndham hotels including new prototypes and signature in-room products. Signature items include Michael Graves-designed furniture and fixtures including the new Wyndham Smart Chair; it's essentially a lounge chair equipped with power and Internet outlets, swivel side tables and specially engineered fabric that resists stains and bacteria.   It provides guests with a functional place to use their laptop, charge their PDA and connect to the Internet.

The hotel prototype itself includes multiuse areas such a communal lounge featuring seating spaces where guests can convene, work, and eat; a 24-hour food mart; front porch area complete with rocking chairs; and regional art along the hallways.   Also, in place of a front desk, guests at Wyndham hotels of the future will find a pod system that helps ensure a friendlier guest experience.

Rudnitsky said the companys ongoing global development efforts have resulted in a total pipeline of about 790 properties representing 85,000 rooms for its Wyndham, Ramada®, Super 8®, Days Inn®, Wingate Inn®, Baymont®, Howard Johnson®, Travelodge®, AmeriHost Inn® and Knights Inn® brands as of June 30.
