Human Resources for Danfords on the Sound
Woodlands (Houston), Texas, March 2006 - Benchmark Hospitality International
has announced the appointment of Jennifer DeMarle as director of human
resources for the 86-guestroom Danfords on the Sound, located in Port Jefferson,
Long Island, New York. Stewart Weiner, general manager of the
property, made the announcement. The position is a reappointment
for Ms. DeMarle, who for five years held the same role at the property
under previous management.
"Jennifer has done a terrific job for us as director of human resources at Danfords on the Sound," said Mr. Weiner. "We look forward to her continued success in this role under the management of Benchmark Hospitality."
A seasoned human resource professional, Jennifer DeMarle has invested over 15 years in the hospitality industry in positions of increasing responsibility, working for the Smithtown Bay Yacht Club in Smithtown, New York; the Wyndam Wind Watch Hotel of Islandia, New York; as well as Danfords on the Sound. She launched her career with Candy Man Vending of Nesconset, New York.
DeMarle has a Bachelor of Arts degree from East Stroudsburg University, located in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, and an Associates Degree in Hotel Management from the State University of New York, located in Cobleskill, New York. Ms. DeMarle is certified in "Train the Trainer" programs. She resides in Port Jefferson.
