 Benchmark Appoints Scott D. Mumma Director of Sales & Marketing
at North Maple Inn in Basking Ridge, New Jersey

Basking Ridge, New Jersey, November 7, 2005 - Benchmark Hospitality has appointed Scott D. Mumma director of sales & marketing for the AAA Four Diamond North Maple Inn in Basking Ridge, New Jersey.  This represents a promotion for Mr. Mumma, who was previously director of sales at Benchmark's Downtown Conference Center in New York.  Mike Taylor, general manager for North Maple Inn, made the announcement.

"Scott's strong knowledge of the New Jersey-New York-Connecticut market and his expertise in selling the conference center product made him a natural choice for this position," stated Mr. Taylor.  "As a New Jersey resident, his awareness of the local market is significant and important."

Mr. Mumma assumed his previous position at the Downtown Conference Center in 2003 when the property was preparing to reopen in a new location in lower Manhattan.  The Downtown Conference Center is a day meeting facility with full food & beverage services, 33 meeting rooms and meeting support services situated in 20,000 square feet of dedicated conference space.  While at the Center, Mumma was instrumental in developing new business opportunities, greatly enhancing its success.

Prior to this, Mumma was senior sales manager for Lansdowne Resort, Benchmark's east coast flagship property, located in Lansdowne, Virginia, near Washington, DC.  While at Lansdowne Mr. Mumma received the Benchmark "Bulldog Award" in recognition of his leadership and tenacity in achieving sales goals for the award-winning resort.  He was also previously recognized as the top sales lead generator for the Benchmark Hospitality organization.  

Mumma began his hospitality career in 1993, serving as national accounts manager for Aramark's Harrison Conference Center, located in Tarrytown, New York, where he annually exceeded sales goals.  

Scott Mumma is a member of the Greater New York Chapter of Meeting Professionals International.  He is a graduate of the University of Hartford, located in West Hartford, Connecticut, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.  He resides in Union, New Jersey.
