 Owners of North Maple Inn at Basking Ridge, Formerly The AT&T
Learning Center, Appoint Benchmark to Continue Management
THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS, July 1, 2002 ... Benchmark Hospitality announced that it has entered into an agreement to operate the North Maple Inn at Basking Ridge, formerly The AT&T Learning Center.  The property, which Benchmark previously managed for AT&T, is located in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, 45 minutes from Manhattan.  It will remain an open-market facility.  The hotel�s new owner is Pharmacia Corporation, a leading global pharmaceutical company.  Pharmacia acquired the hotel and conference center as part of its purchase of AT&T's world headquarters in Basking Ridge.

Burt Cabañas, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Benchmark Hospitality, made the announcement, stating �we�re thrilled Benchmark will continue to operate this world-class hotel, which is strategically located in the heart of New Jersey.  We look forward to continuing to provide exemplary hospitality and meeting services.�

North Maple Inn at Basking Ridge combines first-class hospitality and superb dining with sophisticated conference rooms and meeting services, supported by state-of-the-art technology. The property is situated on 35 acres of lush woodlands at exit 30A of Interstate 287, a major north-south transportation artery in New Jersey.  The conveniently located property is just 30 minutes from Newark International Airport and close to New York City.  

The North Maple Inn at Basking Ridge offers 171 well-appointed guestrooms with 16 spacious suites, 20,000 square feet of dedicated meeting space with 25 conference rooms, including an 84-seat tiered amphitheater, comprehensive meeting support services, a lounge, restaurant and ballroom.   Also available are complete fitness and recreation facilities. 

The property, which was built in 1995 and comprehensively renovated in 2000, is dedicated to serving customers and corporate clientele from all parts of the globe.
