General Manager of the Year for SpringHill Suites Nationwide Awarded to Matt Crall, GM of Sivica Hospitality's
SpringHill Suites Hotel at the Mall of Georgia

ATLANTA - (March 14, 2005) - Atlanta-based Sivica Hospitality (SH), a Marriott franchise partner, earned eight major awards at the Marriott Select Service General Manager’s Conference that was held recently in Orlando.  The awards included: General Manager of the Year and the Diamond Hotel of the Year for the SpringHill Suites brand, Magic General Manager of the Year and Associate of the Year for the Fairfield Inn brand. 

At the annual gathering, Marriott company officials highlighted achievements and rewarded the accomplishments of outstanding hotels and their managers.  More than 1,000 hotel managers and owners from throughout the country attended the event.  “The dedication and hard work of our managers and associates have earned these awards,” said Fred Cerrone, president of Sivica Hospitality.  “I am proud of every one of them.” 

From among all general managers of SpringHill Suites nationwide, the General Manager of the Year award went to Matt Crall, General Manager of SH’s SpringHill Suites hotel at the Mall of Georgia.  He also earned the Diamond GM of the Year Award and his hotel was named one of only two Diamond Hotels in the brand.  Marriott awarded the following additional honors to the SHS-Mall of GA hotel:  a Gold Circle Award, the Service Champion Award, a Brand Champion, a Most Improved Brand Champion, and the Top Score for Fewest Problems Experienced for the year.

“I am proud to accept these honors,” said Crall. “Each award recognizes the team effort that goes into everything that Sivica Hospitality is able to accomplish.”

Marriott named Lolandera Spratling the Associate of the Year 2004 for the Fairfield Inn brand.  One of only three associates named, Ms. Spratling competed with more than 6,000 associates nationwide for the honor.  She is employed at the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Kennesaw, GA. 

Richard Welch, General Manager of the Fairfield Inn-Charlotte I-77, earned the Magic GM of the Year title, one of five for the national brand.  Based on top Guest Tracking Scores, his hotel also earned a Gold Circle Award and a Promise Maker Magic – Service Champion Award.  The Fairfield Inn & Suites in Midtown Atlanta brought home a Cleanliness Award for the Most Improved.
