Benchmark Hospitality Appoints Gregory D. Fulton as
Director of Sales & Marketing for The Georgian
Terrace Hotel, Atlanta

ATLANTA, GEORGIA, April 2004 ... Benchmark Hospitality of The Woodlands (Houston), Texas, has appointed Gregory D. Fulton as director of sales & marketing for The Georgian Terrace Hotel, an historic 319-guestsuite property located in the heart of Atlanta's burgeoning Midtown district.  Roy Young, managing director, made the announcement.

Mr. Fulton brings a decade of hospitality sales experience to his new position at
The Georgian Terrace Hotel.  Previously he served as sales and marketing director for the Daufuskie Island Club & Resort, 


Gregory D. Fulton
located on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.  While at the resort, Fulton was responsible for directing and overseeing all sales, public relations and marketing activities related to the property's pre-opening and opening in 2002.

Prior to this, Fulton was director of sales and marketing for Dolce Heritage Resort, a 163-guestroom property located in Southbury, Connecticut.  Previous to this he served in the same capacity at the Graylyn International Conference Center of Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  Fulton began his hospitality sales career as corporate sales manager for the Adam's Mark Hotel & Resort of Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Before joining the hospitality industry, Fulton served in diverse professional positions, including negotiator for the State of North Carolina, owner and general manager of International Minute Press of Winston-Salem, and as president of Advantage Communications, Inc., also of Winston-Salem.

Gregory Fulton is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where he earned a Bachelors degree in Communications.  He is a member of Meeting Professionals International.

Built in 1911 at the corner of Peachtree Street and Ponce de Leon Avenue in Midtown Atlanta, The Georgian Terrace Hotel is one of the city's most distinguished hotels, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  The property features 319 one-, two- and three-bedroom guest suites, a state-of-the-art conference center, stunning rooftop pool, health club, and two restaurants.   The spacious guest suites are elegantly furnished with mahogany vanities and fully equipped kitchens.  In the hotel's magnificent public areas, guests can walk amongst history with classically proportioned hallways and parlors accented with vaulted ceilings, marble and wood columns, intricate plaster moldings, crystal chandeliers and spiral staircases.  The Georgian Terrace Hotel is managed by Benchmark Hospitality.
