PARSIPPANY, N.J (July 8, 2003) Cendant Corporations Hotel Group today announced the launch of an online information mall developed exclusively for government and military consumers.

The Web site, www.cendantgovmall.com, functions as a one-stop information center for government and military consumers who wish to learn more about Cendant Corporations travel, real estate and financial services and current rates and discounts.

The Government Mall offers information about Cendants nine hotel brands Days Inn, Ramada Howard Johnson, Super 8, Travelodge, Wingate Inn, AmeriHost Inn, Knights Inn and Villager as well as Budget and Avis car rentals, Fairfield Resorts, Resort Condominiums International, Cendant Mobility, Cendant Mortgage and Jackson Hewitt for tax services.

The Web site also offers information on Operation Determined Victory, Cendant Hotel Groups consumer-driven initiative designed to ensure that all participating hotels are government-friendly.  These hotels comply with Federal Emergency Management Agency requirements, offer government rates at or below the authorized per diem for their respective locations and most offer services and amenities that provide additional value to each government or military traveler during their stay.

With the launch of this Web site, our government and military consumers can shop at one location for many of the products and services they already use, said Tim Hamid, Hotel Group vice president of worldwide sales.

Cendant Corporations Hotel Group, based in Parsippany, N.J., is the worlds largest lodging franchisor with 6,475 open hotels representing 528,749 rooms on five continents under the Super 8®, Days Inn®, Ramada®, Travelodge®, Howard Johnson®, Knights Inn®, Villager, Wingate Inn® and AmeriHost Inn® brands.  Cendants franchised hotels sell one out of every four economy and midpriced room-nights in the United States, and Cendant franchises 11.8 percent of the entire U.S. hotel room supply, according to Smith Travel Research.  All hotels are individually owned and operated under franchise agreements with Cendant subsidiaries.
