Undergoing $33 Million Renovation |
SAN FRANCISCO - Aug. 12, 2003 -- The San Francisco
Marriott, a premier, 1,500-room convention hotel located in the heart of
the city's South of Market (SOMA) district, is currently undergoing a $33
million renovation, with a targeted completion date of October 2003.
"The San Francisco Marriott's hotel renovation is one of the most extensive of any Marriott property," said Kris Gagliardi, general manager, San Francisco Marriott. "The renovation allows us to enhance the overall guest experience, providing stylish and comfortable accommodations on par with that of any four-star hotel." The award-winning San Francisco Marriott is located in the heart of downtown San Francisco, adjacent to the Moscone Convention Center, the Museum of Modern Art, Yerba Buena Gardens and just two blocks from Union Square. The 1,500-room hotel offers 134 suites and 374 rooms that are specially designed for business travelers. The San Francisco Marriott has two restaurants: the Fourth Street Bar & Deli and the Garden Terrace, which features gourmet Italian cuisine. The View, on the 39th floor, offers cocktails and appetizers with stunning panoramic views of San Francisco. The hotel also offers over 100,000 square feet of meeting space. |
