VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. � June 3, 2003 - Professional Hospitality Resources (PHR) announces the appointment of Glenn E. Tuckman as president and Tim Gesner
Appointed Executive Vice President of Marketing
 
The announcement was made by Bruce Thompson, CEO of Gold Key/Professional Hospitality Resources Holding Company.

Previously, Tuckman served as Senior Vice President of North American Operations for Starwood Hotels and Resorts. While at Starwood, he implemented numerous companywide training programs that lead to double digit increases in overall guest satisfaction for Westin and Sheraton hotels. During Tuckman�s four-year tenure there, the Environmental Protection Agency recognized Starwood as their energy partner for 2001 and 2002 due to the company�s aggressive strategies for saving natural resources.

In his new position, Tuckman will focus on developing and implementing strategic business plans, which focus on PHR�s core business growth, profitability, sustainability and cash flow. He will review opportunities to create operational efficiencies, as well as develop a business model that is transferable and expandable into new markets across the country.

�My goal is to make PHR a strong leader in the hospitality industry. With all of our experience and resources, there is no reason why we should not be the most respected hotel management company in the business,� Tuckman said.

A resident of Virginia Beach, Va., Tuckman and his wife, Janice, have three children Zachary, Matthew and Nicole.

Gesner has over 28 years of sales, marketing and general management experience in the areas of technology, consumer products, real estate and hospitality. His corporate experience ranges from Fortune 50 companies like IBM, Pepsi, Disney and Fairfield Resorts, as well as experience with leading edge entrepreneurial companies such as the ICE Gallery, Westgate Resorts and now PHR/Gold Key Resorts.

In his new position, Gesner will develop a comprehensive strategic marketing plan for Gold Key Resorts that will boost sales and encourage company growth. Once this goal is achieved, he plans to expand the company into a broader range of markets and new products.

�My goal is to develop a marketing plan that will set PHR ahead of its competition by setting high standards and keeping this company going strong,� Gesner said.

Gesner received his B.A. degree in business administration from Gettysburg College. Gesner and his wife, Susan, have four children.

Professional Hospitality Resources manages ten hotels and holds ownership in a majority of them. Established in 1986 and headquartered in Virginia Beach, PHR is a subsidiary of Gold Key/Professional Hospitality Resources Holding Company. PHR employs approximately 900 people.
