    Professional Hospitality Resources Appoints Three 
Hotel Professionals for Virginia Beach Operations
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va.- February 8, 2000 -  Three hotel management professionals with outstanding performance records have recently joined the staff of Professional Hospitality Resources.  The announcement was made by Evert Maks, president of PHR.  

�We are constantly seeking to recruit the best and the brightest professionals for our staff,� said Maks.  �It is also important that our management have a depth of experience in hospitality, by working in many different facets of the industry.  This brings a greater understanding of quality service to our
hotels�

Weylan Rhame was named Director of Resort Operations for the Clarion Resort and Conference Center and Turtle Cay Resort.  Rhame began his career in hospitality in 1983 as a Food & Beverage Director for Servico Hospitality Management, Inc.  Most recently, he served as General Manager of the Sheraton Oceanfront Hotel in Virginia Beach.  In his new position, he will oversee all facets of operations for Professional Hospitality Resources� Vacation Ownership Division, which currently includes 2 timeshare resorts and is in the process of developing new properties.  The Clarion is a full-service vacation ownership and rental property that features 168 efficiency rooms and suites on the ocean.  The award-winning Turtle Cay is a new timeshare resort property with one and two-bedroom suites.
 

Charlene Arnold was appointed General Manager of the Dolphin Inn, an all suite oceanfront hotel.  In her new position, she will oversee all operations of the hotel, while ensuring that all sales projections and budgets are met or exceeded.  Arnold began her career as an Executive Housekeeper for Hart Hotels in Ithaca, New York, where she was recognized for numerous outstanding employee awards.  Most recently, she was employed by Vista Hospitality as Assistant General Manager of the Holiday Inn-University in the Fingerlakes region of New York State. 

Stanley Winnie was named Revenue (Yield) Manager of Professional Hospitality

Resources.  As Revenue Manager, Winnie will anticipate, track and evaluate reservation trends, and develop a system of room inventory management to maximize revenue for all nine of PHR�s hotel properties.  Winnie has more than 11 years� experience in hotel and revenue management, most recently serving as Director of Sales Operations for the Shaner Hotel Group in State College, Pennsylvania.  

Professional Hospitality Resources manages nine hotels and holds ownership in a majority of them.  Established in 1986 and headquartered in Virginia Beach, PHR is a subsidiary of Gold Key/Professional Hospitality Resources Holding Company.  PHR employs more than 900 people.
