Built by Wolman Construction of Waterford, CT,
developed by Mystic Hotel Investors, LLC and managed by Waterford Hotel
Group, the Mystic Marriott is a landmark property on the industry's cutting
edge. It boasts a 10,000 square foot, full-service Red Door Spa (only
the third resort spa for Elizabeth Arden and the first in Connecticut),
two ballrooms and nine conference rooms totaling 25,000 square feet of
function space (among the largest in the region), and the area's first
and only Starbucks Coffee bar. Room rates range from $189 to $240
per night.
Designed to become the region's hotel of choice for major corporations,
conference planners and the upscale leisure market, all 285 rooms feature
premium executive amenities, complemented by a state-of-the-art fitness
center, business center, executive boardrooms, concierge level with lounge,
airport and attraction shuttle transportation, as well as incomparable
services for catering, banquet and audio-visual needs. The hotel's
signature dining facility, the 145-seat Octagon restaurant, was the brainchild
of CB5, one of the nation's leading, high-concept restaurant development
teams. With its 16-foot octagonal open flame grill and its masterful
offerings of quality beef selections, Octagon is expected to be a regional
standout in dining destinations.
The full-service Elizabeth Arden Red Door at the Mystic Marriott takes
generous advantage of the hotel's luxurious Georgian setting along the
scenic Poheganut Reservoir, in close proximity to the area's beautiful
ports and beaches. It offers all of EARD's signature facilities and
services, including relaxation and serenity rooms, a spa cafe, a juice
and elixir bar, fitness center and retail boutique.
The Marriott Mystic is the eighth Marriott franchise for Waterford Hotel
Group, Inc. Since it's founding in 1984, Waterford Hotel Group has
been one of the most successful and fastest growing companies in the hospitality
industry. |
