The restaurant, named after Salmon Chase, the Keene native and former U.S. Secretary of the Treasury under President Abraham Lincoln, is now open for lunch and dinner daily.  �We are looking forward to serving the Keene community,� said General Manager, Denise Meadows, whose restaurant welcomes the general public, as well as the hotel�s guests.  �We hope that the Keene community comes in and finds us warm and accommodating, a gathering place that allows them to relax and enjoy the many varieties of food we�ll be offering,� Meadows added. The $4.4 million project was completed by Someplaces Different, an Exeter, New Hampshire based boutique hotel

The E.F. Lane Hotel building was constructed over 100 years ago as a traditional New England brick and granite mill style structure. Conversion of the building to a hotel began in the year 1999. Meticulous care and consideration is being  taken during every phase of this restoration.

The hotel�s guest rooms are a variety of sizes, floor plans, and styles.  Two level loft suites with whirlpool baths are sure to impress the most sophisticated guests.  Room rates will range between $129.00 and $275.00.  �The hotel is open to the public; just drop in if you would like to take a tour,� Meadows offered.  �We�re ready to go!�
