Into a Baymont Inn & Suites
MILWAUKEE (January 8, 2001) Baymont Inns & Suites is pleased to announce a new location in Lake Ozark, Missouri.  Ozark Inns, LLC, a Missouri investment firm, is embarking on a multi-million-dollar rehabilitation and renovation project to transform the former Howard Johnson into a Baymont Inn & Suites.  Once completed, the new Inn will be a valuable asset to this resort community offering the best combination of amenities, price and service for leisure and business travelers.

Located at the intersection of State Highway 54 and Business 54, the new Inn will feature 92 rooms, including an executive suite and three honeymoon suites.  Special amenities include Internet access in select rooms, outdoor and indoor pools, an expanded fitness facility, two meeting rooms and an executive boardroom.  The Lake Ozark Baymont Inn & Suites will be managed by Aspen Hospitality of Chicago and opens to the public in mid-April, 2001.

Baymont is a good fit for this family-friendly resort area, said Jim Erkmann of Ozark Inns, whose company owns several Dennys restaurants adjacent to other Baymont Inns & Suites.  With its central location, our goal for the Lake Ozark Baymont Inn & Suites is to be the premier family resort in the Ozarks, while also catering to the small meeting trade.

The renovations will include a new reception/lobby area, all new furniture and remodeled bathrooms in each room.  Exterior renovations and extensive landscaping surrounding the Inn will complete the new look.  Nothing of the old hotel will be recognizable, Erkmann explained.

Baymont Inns & Suites has made a commitment to the growth and development of our franchise Inns, said Dan Daniele, president of Baymont Franchises International.  Our many franchises around the country have helped Baymont Inns & Suites become an industry leader in mid-priced lodging.

Baymont Inns & Suites is owned, operated and franchised by the Milwaukee-based Marcus Corporation (NYSE: MCS), which is comprised of four divisions:  limited-service lodging, hotels/resorts, movie theatres and restaurants.  In addition to the more than 175 Baymont Inns & Suites in 30 states, The Marcus Corporation operates seven Woodfield Suites in Illinois, Wisconsin, Colorado, Ohio and Texas; and operates hotels and/or resorts in Wisconsin, California, Minnesota and Missouri.
