Upland, CA � October 24, 2000 - The Best Western Executive Inn � Seattle, WA has recently installed Green Suites International�s �O-Tech� Laundry Injection System. The �0-Tech� system injects dissolved ozone directly into the sump of each commercial washer. This process saves the hotel 40% on water & effluent, 50% on laundry chemicals and at least 80% on energy expenses.  �Their system enhances our existing environmental efforts,� says Doug Bartells, General Manager of the Best Western Executive Inn. �Because of various environmental initiatives the hotel is actually paying less for utilities today than we were a few years ago.�

The 123-room Best Western Executive Inn, which launders over 450,000 pounds of linen annually, foresees a return on this investment in less than a year. �When Green Suites International presented the cost savings analysis, said Bartells, the decision was simple. Phil Paschke, the Seattle Public Utilities Resource Conservation Manger, says �Direct Injection Ozone Washing Systems can significantly reduce hot & cold water consumption and save hotel laundry's thousands of dollars in utility costs.  As part of Seattle Public Utilities 1% Water Conservation program, The Best Western Executive Inn installed the Green Suites International O-Tech Laundry Injection System and qualified for financial incentives to reduce the initial cost of the system.  We are looking for many more participants to install water conservation systems in not only hotel laundries, but throughout their facilities.�

The New O-Tech Laundry Injection System is designed to generate, inject and maintain levels of ozone in commercial washing machines commonly used in hotel laundries.  James Gross, Hotel Laundry Consultant with over 35 years of hotel laundry experience, has been closely monitoring ozone systems for the past 12 years and believes �the new O-Tech laundry injection system is the most effective at generating and maintaining the proper ozone levels required to dissolve proteins, fats, oils, tannins and serum constituents comprised in the soil on the linens.� The new O-tech laundry injection system generates ozone and injects it into the wash and rinse water while a PLC based controller monitors the residual ozone levels and adds additional ozone when required. In addition, the O- Tech system does not require the use of tanks which allows the system to be installed in hotel laundries with limited floor space.
