   Experts From Across the Globe Unite to Launch Time-Share to the Australian Market
Accor Première Vacation Club Launches
6 October, 2000 - Mr Joe Sita, Chief Executive Officer of Accor Première Vacation Club, has announced the appointment of seven high-profile vacation ownership sales, marketing and operational executives. They have joined the team at Accor Première Vacation Club - a joint venture between Australia�s largest hotel operator, Accor Asia Pacific, and prominent Melbourne-based property developer, Becton � to launch vacation ownership to the Australian market.

Accor Première Vacation Club has undertaken an extensive international recruitment drive to form a successful and experienced team of staff. The US has been a key focus of the recruitment campaign, given the successful track record of vacation ownership and the growth of the industry in USA. 

Between now and the end of the year, Accor Première Vacation Club will recruit more than 30 staff including sales executives, telemarketers and support staff.

Mr Mark Stephenson has been appointed as General Manager of Operations at Accor Première Vacation Club. A specialist in the time-share industry, Mr Stephenson has managed the regional growth strategy of some of the world�s leading time-share operations. He was previously Executive Director of RCI Australia, Inc, and Managing Director, Asia Pacific for the leading European club developer and marketer Club La Costa.

Mr Stephenson is a regular speaker at time-share conferences and is a former President and current director of the Australian Timeshare and Holiday Ownership Council Ltd (ATHOC).

Ms Susan Nelson has been appointed General Manager of Sales at 
Accor Première Vacation Club. Ms Nelson has more than 15 years experience in the United States� hospitality and time-share industries, establishing a solid track record with leading operators including Marriott Vacation Club and Starwood properties. 

Ms Nelson will head up the sales force of Accor Première Vacation Club.

Mr Mark Carriere has been appointed as General Manager of Marketing for Accor Première Vacation Club.  Mr Carriere has extensive experience within the vacation ownership sector in the United States, Canada, Bahamas and Australia and has worked within the timeshare industry for more than sixteen years.

Mr Carriere is a Silver winner of the highly coveted American Resort Development Association (ARDA)�s marketing Award in 1999 and regularly presents seminars in Canada and the United States on the time-share industry.

With the first Accor Première Vacation Club office set to open in Queensland in December, Mr Dave Emblem has been appointed as the Regional Marketing Manager � Queensland.  With almost 20 years experience in sales and marketing and more than six years experience in the time-share industry, Mr Emblem will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to launch Accor Première Vacation Club.   

Mr Kevin Sands has been appointed as Accor Première Vacation Club�s Promotions Manager. Mr Sands has had 15 years in the hospitality and time-share industries, in both Canada and Australia. 

Having been between Canada and Australia for the last 18 years, Mr Sands has most recently been involved in designing and coordinating sales programs for local time-share companies.

Mr Ron Harrison has been appointed as an Accor Première Vacation Club Sales Manager. He was formerly a trainer and Senior Sales Executive with the Marriott Vacation Club International. He was also a member of the Emerald Club for more than five years. During this period Mr Harrison won several coveted sales awards including Rookie of the Year Sales Executive 1995 and a Highest Sales Volume Award for 1999.

Mr John Rohman has been appointed as Sales Manager of Accor Première Vacation Club. With more than 15 years experience in the vacation ownership and sales industries, Mr Rohman has a keen understanding of the vacation ownership sector. He was formerly with Marriott Vacation Club International and Vistana where he performed in both sales and management arenas.

The Accor Première Vacation Club will be officially launched in December, 2000 with its first office on the Gold Coast and offices to follow next year in both Sydney and Melbourne.
