Hospitality Advisors (formerly known as Westergom & Assoc., Inc.),
a leading hospitality real estate advisory firm announced the appointment
of hotel and hospitality veteran William G. (Bill) Sipple to its firm as
partner and member of its Board of Directors.
Mr. Sipple has more than 24 years of executive
experience in the hospitality industry. He was most recently Regional
Director of Development for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide where
his duties included product positioning for Westin, Sheraton, Four Points
and Luxury Collection brands for the Western United States. During
his tenure at Starwood, Mr. Sipple was responsible for developing over
$1 billion of assets including portfolio transactions, ski resorts, golf
resorts, mixed-use developments, urban high-rise and luxury destination
resorts. He also developed Starwood�s development MIS systems, enabling
the company to reach its operational/development objectives.
Mr. Sipple�s previous experience
includes Manager-In-Charge of Hospitality Practice with PKF at their Dallas
office. While at PKF, he developed and instructed their national
training course and designed their national computer-based market and financial
analysis models.
Mr. Sipple was also a founding principal in Index
Consulting Group, Inc., a leading consulting and valuation firm for hotels,
casinos, office and retail assets. Major clients included Prudential
Insurance, Chemical Bank, Bank of America, Home Savings, RTC and FDIC.
Additionally, he held regional vice president of development roles for
Ramada Inns and Brookshire Development.
Mr. Sipple is a Certified Hotel Administrator
with the American Hotel & Motel Association. He is also a Certified
General Appraiser in Colorado and has held the same designation in Massachusetts
and Florida. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Administration
from Cornell University�s School of Hotel Administration and is a member
of the Cornell Society of Hotelmen. He has also completed numerous
educational courses presented by the Appraisal Institute and the National
Association of Realtors.
