| CHICAGO -- David Sowell, general manager for
the four-diamond rated Sutton Place Hotel has announced the promotion of
Robert Prohaska, 33, to director of sales & marketing for the 246-room
property located at 21 E. Bellevue Place. In Prohaska�s new role,
he oversees sales for the rooms, catering and reservations departments
as well as handling all marketing duties.
Prohaska is currently the membership chairperson for the Midwest Business Travel Association, and is an active member the National Business Travel Association, Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau, and Greater North Michigan Avenue Association. Originally from the northwest side of Chicago, he earned an engineering degree from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. He currently lives in Chicago with his wife, LoriAnn and their twin sons, Jared and Brandon. |

Prohaska
helped open Hotel 21 East (as the property was then known) in 1988 prior
to relocating to Michigan where he served as a manager for the four-diamond
Townsend Hotel. In 1995, he rejoined The Sutton Place Hotel as a
front desk manager and has since held positions as reservations manager,
corporate sales manager, and director of sales.
