Two New Opryland Hotels Team Up With Building 
Experts to Provide  Indoor Environments
NASHVILLE, May 15, 2000 - The Opryland Hospitality Group announces a strategic partnership  with leading building systems experts Johnson Controls, Inc. (NYSE: JCI) and Simplex to provide secure, high-quality, indoor environments for its guests at two new major convention hotels. The facilities are under construction, one in Kissimmee-St. Cloud, Fla., and the other in Grapevine, Texas.

Johnson Controls, a building system designer and provider of energy efficiency, will install fully integrated, automated systems, which connect heating, ventilating and air conditioning, lighting, fire, security and access controls. Johnson Controls will team with Simplex, the leader in fire alarm systems, in the $2.6 million contract.  

The Opryland Hospitality Group has taken the concept of Nashville�s Opryland Hotel to other meeting destinations in the United States. The 1,400-room Opryland Hotel Florida, will open in 2002 near Walt Disney World and the 1,500-room Opryland Hotel Texas will be completed in 2003 near the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. The Opryland Hospitality Group is a pioneer in self-contained, themed hotels with full entertainment and convention facilities under a glass roof.
