Since there is no in-room PC to maintain, troubleshooting usually consists of turning the power off and on. 

Also, unlike other Internet stations, users can access their own AOL, Compuserve, and Internet e-mail accounts and office productivity applications with complete security. Since there�s no disk storage on the V-Link/HIT device, no user information is stored after the user logs off. Veicon�s patented software technology also wipes all evidence of each user�s private files and passwords off the main server and protects the server from hotel visitor hacker attacks. 

Veicon�s V-Link/HIT access devices include a 15� display screen, mouse, keyboard, and 10/100baseT network interface. These devices run Microsoft�s thin-client Windows environment, providing guests with a familiar user interface and popular software such as Internet browsers and office productivity software. V-Link/HIT employs Veicon�s patented software technology that provides unmatched file system protection, remote administration and both user and system security. 

V-Link/HIT is an addition to Veicon�s growing V-Link product family, with supports popular Internet browsers, many e-mail clients including AOL, Compuserve, Eudora, Pegasus, Outlook Express, Telnet and MS Office tools, as well as local and network printing. Hotel guests can enter their credit card number to purchase a block of time, and an automatic credit card reader is available as an option for the convenience of guests. This allows hotels to place V-Link/HIT access devices in lobbies and around meeting rooms.
