LAS VEGAS, June 16, 2000 - A survey released
last week by Casino Journal Publishing Group at the UNLVs Casino Ops 2000
revealed the favorite games, playing habits and budgets of Americas slot
players.
Since it began publishing Strictly Slots magazine in 1998, Casino Journal Publishing Group has been receiving informal information on the preferences of slot players. Last year, Strictly Slots editors decided to formalize some of the information
they were receiving and asked for help from the International Gaming Institute
at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Under the direction of Professor
John Bowen, the director of graduate studies for UNLVs William F. Harrah
School of Hotel Administration, a survey was established. In the
January 2000 issue of Strictly Slots, readers were asked to state their
gaming preferences.
The Strictly Slots/UNLV Slot Survey was released at this weeks UNLVs
