 George Kalogridis Named Senior VP of Operations 
for Disneyland Resort

ANAHEIM, Calif. - May 30, 2000 -- George Kalogridis, a 29-year veteran of the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, has been promoted to senior vice president of operations for the Disneyland Resort, it was jointly announced Tuesday by Cynthia Harriss, president of the Disneyland Resort and Al Weiss, president of Walt Disney World. Kalogridis will report directly to Harriss.

Most recently vice president of EPCOT Operations at the Walt Disney World Resort, Kalogridis will now have full responsibility for the daily management of the Disneyland and Disney�s California Adventure Theme Parks. Disney�s California Adventure, the newest Disney theme park to be built in Anaheim, is scheduled to open in February of 2001. 

As senior vice president of operations, Kalogridis will oversee the operations of both Parks, including all rides and attractions, as well as other guest services such as transportation, parking, custodial, costuming, scheduling and guest relations.

Kalogridis joined Disney in 1971 as a front line cast member and progressed through the ranks into general management. From 1990 through 1993, Kalogridis was general manager of Disney�s Grand Floridian Beach Resort & Spa. 

He also served as vice president of human resources for Walt Disney World Theme Parks and Hotels from 1993 until 1995, when he was named vice president of EPCOT Operations, a position he has held until today.

�George is one of the finest general management executives in our theme park business,� said Weiss. �He was instrumental in the successful development and execution of The Walt Disney Co.�s Millennium Celebration currently taking place at EPCOT and he has contributed greatly to the overall success of our operations. 
�We will miss him in Orlando, but wish him well as he joins the Disneyland Resort.�

His love of Walt Disney�s original Park, experienced leadership and commitment to our guests and cast members make him the right individual for this important role.�

Kalogridis, 46, holds a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Central Florida. He will be relocating to Southern California.
