June 17, 2000 - Nashville, TN - Rick Stanfield, CHA, President & CEO of Stanfield Hospitality Consultants, LLC announced today the appointment of Donald T. Vaughn as Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing. Vaughn has 30 years of sales, marketing, public relations, operations and management experience in the transportation, financial, aviation, entertainment and hospitality arenas. He strongly believes if you can successfully communicate and work together, you can make positive things happen.

While at Gaylord Entertainment and the Opryland Hotel & Convention Center, Vaughn worked closely with Rick Stanfield (Senior Vice President of Lodging), management and staff in developing and securing numerous win-win partnerships via the Strategic Alliances department generating hundreds of thousands of dollars in high percentage profit revenue to the company.

In the hospitality industry, the name Vaughn may be familiar; Don is a younger brother of Jack J. Vaughn, CHA, Chairman Emeritus & Senior Advisor, Opryland Hospitality Group. It was his vision that was the driving force behind developing what became the largest (total square feet under one roof) and most successful convention hotel in the history of the industry, with over 4 million future room nights on the books in 1998.

Richard M Brooks, CHA Named to Stanfield Hospitality

June 14, 2000 - Donald T. Vaughn, Sr. Vice President of Sales & Marketing for SHC announced today that Richard M. Brooks, CHA has accepted a voluntary role as advisor to SHC on various operational, technological and business decisions, along with other members of the board.

Mr. Brooks has recently joined MeriStar Hotels and Resorts as Vice President of Service Delivery Systems, where he is responsible for brand standards and best practices for all MeriStar properties. Prior to joining MeriStar, Mr. Brooks served as Vice President, Operations for Bridgestreet Accommodations, Vice President, Hospitality Systems for Fidelity Investments and 13-years with Stouffer Hotels and Resorts and Renaissance Hotels International. While at Stouffers, Mr. Brooks was Vice President of Rooms Management and established company-wide technology standards. Mr. Brooks has also held positions with the Boca Raton Resort and Club and Hyatt Hotels and Resorts. He was inducted into the International Hospitality Technology Hall of Fame in 1997.
