Bowers will handle all National Association business as well as any business based from Washington D.C. and south.

Prior to joining Hershey Resorts in 1999, Bowers was a Sales Manager for the Harrisburg Hilton & Towers, and Director of Sales and Marketing for the Days Inn Conference Center, Middletown, PA.  She has been in hospitality sales for 15 years.

Three more employees from Hershey Resorts have received certification from the Educational Institute (EI) of the American Hotel and Motel Association (AH&MA).

Kris McCarrel, Front Office Manager, The Hershey Lodge and Convention Center, has received certification as a Certified Hospitality Housekeeping Executive (CHHE).

Heather Weitzel, Hershey Grill Manager, and Michelle Sivar, Performance Plus Manager, The Hershey Lodge and Convention Center, have received certification as a Certified Hospitality Supervisors (CHS).

Professional Certification designations are the ultimate distinction of excellence for those in the hospitality industry. All are earned through a combination of experience and education. 
  
Professional Certification from AH&MA is an extension of Performance Plus, a long-term training and development program administered by the EI of the AH&MA.  Performance Plus has been undertaken by Hershey Resorts to develop employees at all levels and to ultimately improve guest service.
