1999 Telman MasterTech Award
Houston, Texas - October 18, 1999 - Telman is pleased to announce this year�s only recipient of the 1999 Telman MasterTech Award, given to hotel management companies, hotel companies or individuals in the hospitality industry who are producing unprecedented results through bringing people and technology together.   This year�s winner is Internet pioneer Richard L. Johnson, Founder and President of Hotel-Online.com, for his innovation and early leadership in bringing information to people in the hospitality industry. 

The Telman MasterTech Award is about the results people are producing with technology -- the difference people and organizations are making, using technology as a tool in the hospitality industry. 

"The Telman MasterTech Award was created to honor the unprecedented results that have been produced by bringing people and technology together, and raising the level of awareness about the value of technology for hotels and the extraordinary impact made by people who are working to better the industry" said Daniel F. Prosser, CEO, Telman.

The MasterTech Award is clearly deserved by Dick Johnson and his organization for the impact he has had in promoting and communicating events, and achievements of the industry."

The 1998 Telman MasterTech was awarded to Candlewood Hotel Company, Inc., Prime Hospitality Corp. and Carol Beggs, Director of Information Systems for Sonesta International Hotel Corporation.
