BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - Oct. 5, 1999--Lynne M. Hook has joined the
legal department of Hilton Hotels Corp. as counsel, employment/human resources.
She reports to Thomas E. Gallagher, executive vice president, chief
administrative officer and general counsel.
Hook�s responsibilities in her new position at Hilton include employment
advice, human resources policy review and implementation, and oversight
of employment litigation.
Prior to joining Hilton, she was affiliated with Jeffer, Mangels, Butler
& Marmaro LLP in Los Angeles as an associate in the Labor and Employment
Department. Her practice focused on employment litigation and advice matters.
Hook also conducted sexual harassment and discrimination awareness and
management training with supervisors and employees of major clients nationwide.
Previously, she served as a litigation associate at Hill, Farrer &
Burrill LLP in Los Angeles.
Hook graduated cum laude with bachelor of arts degrees in philosophy
and political science from the University of Southern California in Los
Angeles. She earned her juris doctorate from Notre Dame Law School, where
she was a Thomas J. White Scholar and staff member of the Notre Dame
Journal of Law, Ethics & Public Policy.
While attending law school, Hook served as a law clerk in the Office
of the United States Attorney for the Northern District of Indiana in South
Bend and in the Criminal Division of the Office of the United States Attorney
for the Central District of California in Los Angeles. An active member
of the community, Hook has served as a pro bono attorney for the HIV/AIDS
Legal Service Alliance, Alliance for Children�s Rights and Public Counsel.
She recently completed the Los Angeles County Bar Association Barristers
Trial Advocacy Project and is currently a board member of the Women Lawyers
Association of Los Angeles. |
