IRVING, Texas...Oct. 20, 1999 - Irving, Texas has taken a big step
toward becoming a major competitor in the convention market. Today, the
Irving City Council agreed by consensus to proceed with strategic plans

The study recommends a facility master plan to include: 250,000 square-feet of exhibit space; 45,000 square-feet of ballroom space; 60,000 square-feet of breakout space; and 320,000 square-feet of support space. SAGs study projects an annual economic impact of more than $93 million in direct and indirect spending to Irving and the area, as well as an additional $3.4 million in sales, hotel and property taxes generated. |
