President and CEO, Mr Brian Deeson is pleased to announce the following
transfers of General Managers within the group.
Eduard Hoogeweegen, General Manager of Century Saphir Bali and Century Mabisa Inn Bali will assume the same role at Bayview Park Hotel Manila while Robert Atlee, General Manager of Bayview Park Hotel will be transferred to Century Kuala Lumpur Hotel. Mr Tony van Gevelt has assumed the
role of General Manager for Century Saphir Bali and Century Mabisa Inn
Bali in Indonesia. An Australian national, Mr van Gevelt�s industry experience
includes senior positions with various international hotel chains in Australia,
Malaysia, China and Korea.
Mr Dennis Oldfield has been appointed General Manager of Century Harbour Hotel in Hong Kong. He joined Century from another international hotel chain in Hong Kong. An Australian national, Mr Oldfield�s previous industry experience includes senior Sales and Marketing positions in China and Australia. Also, Ms Arlene Rey Vicaldo named General Manager for the group�s newest hotel, Century Golden Peak Hotel Cebu. The fourth female General Manager in the group, Ms Ricaldo was previously with Delta Philippines Dream Hotel in Cebu from 1995 till 1999. After the first few years in the capacity of Financial Controller, she was promoted to Acting General Manager for the last year prior to this appointment. The 170-room hotel open in October 1999 and is the eighth hotel in Philippines managed by Century. Located in the centre of Cebu city, it is within walking distance to the Cebu Business Park, Ayala Center and 30 minutes from Mactan International Airport. Century International Hotels currently manages 21 hotels and resorts in six Asian countries - Hong Kong SAR, China, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines. Opening 2000 in Singapore will be the 530-room Century Roxy Park Hotel Singapore. |
