Los Angeles - November 24, 1999 Oldershaw &
DeManns inspired renovation of the palatial, 3,500 square-foot Presidential
Suite atop the Ritz Carlton, Seoul, was recently recognized by a panel
of distinguished design colleagues as one of two finalists in the Suites
category at the November 8th IH/M&RS Gold Key Awards presentation hosted
at New York Citys Waldorf Astoria.
Commissioned to revitalize the staid Georgian decor interiors
within a mere five-week time span, Oldershaw & DeMann launched an ambitious
design update that infused modern, luxurious elements with a pared-down
sensibility to suit the tastes and needs of the hoteliers foremost international
executive guests.
Bleached oak flooring, citrus and beige wall coverings and priceless
modern art pieces, bathed in abundant recessed lighting, ease the senses
with an air of relaxed elegance. Imparting further texture to this
sophisticated canvas are silk curtains, Tibetan rugs and Asian antiques
that create a harmonious counterpoint to the Western furnishings. |
