Mr. Downs is responsible for the efficient and overall operation of the 125-room, full-service hotel.  Mr. Downs reports to Mr. Adam Tegge, Director of Operations, Crown American Hotels. 

Mr. Downs has gained extensive experience having been in the hospitality industry for more than sixteen years.  Most recently, Mr. Downs was an Area Manager for Intercontinental Hotels Group.  As an Area Manager, he provided on-site and regional-based consulting services for 45 properties.  Previously, he was owner and operations manager for Titus Hospitality in Crestwood, Kentucky.

Mr. Downs attended Johnson & Wales University where he received a degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management.  Mr. Downs is a Certified Holiday Inn Trainer by Intercontinental Hotels Group.  Mr. Downs will relocate to the Charlotte area where he plans to become actively involved in the local hospitality community.  He assumed his new position on September 22, 2003.

Headquartered in Johnstown, PA, Crown American Hotels currently owns and operates 27 hotels in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia.  All hotels are operated through franchise agreements with Six Continent Hotels, Choice Hotels International, Marriott, Wyndham International, and Starwood.
