July 2, 2003 - Effective June 4th, Quorum Hotels & Resorts has been retained by AIG, to operate the  Doubletree Tucson Guest Suites under a long term management agreement. The hotel�s name has been changed to the TUCSON RADISSON SUITES as Quorum Hotels & Resorts has secured a franchise for the 304-room hotel from Radisson Hotels & Resorts. The hotel originally opened in 1985 as a Radisson. The hotel plans to retain ninety-five percent of current employees.

Quorum will begin a comprehensive, $4.5 million dollar renovation of the hotel and its public areas that is scheduled to be completed within approximately 18 months.  This will include refurbishing all guest suites, the lobby, outdoor pool area, and the hotel�s restaurant, Alexander�s Bistro.

Speedway Boulevard in Tucson's upscale east side, just off restaurant row, 20 minutes from Tucson International Airport, and 15 minutes from the University of Arizona.

Each of the 304 suites offers a two-room suite configuration and includes an extra-large bathroom with two vanities, two televisions, two telephones, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, iron and ironing board, and data port. There are larger executive suites with additional features such as fireplaces, separate dining rooms and hydro tubs.
