of the Former Ramada Inn in Boulder, Renames it The Boulder Outlook Hotel & Suites |
BOULDER, CO July 14, 2003 Boulder-based HVS Hotel Management announced
today that it has acquired The Ramada Inn in Boulder, CO, and, after an
extensive remodeling, is re-opening the hotel, having renamed it The Boulder
Outlook Hotel & Suites. HVS acquired The Ramada in December 2002, and
has since invested more than $1.5 million into refurbishing the 40-year-old
property.
The Boulder Outlook has been designed to provide guests with the Boulder experience. For instance, the Boulder Square was created; an indoor atrium replete with 11 and 4 boulder climbing rocks, a heated indoor chlorine-free lagoon-style pool with a liquid solar cover, a cascading waterfall, a flagstone hot tub, an arcade and an exercise room. Moreover, the hotel has many other distinctions, such as high-speed wireless Internet access, an herb garden, and designated pet-friendly rooms adjacent to a fully enclosed dog walk. We have gone to great lengths to reflect the spirit of Boulder within our hotel, says Dan King, president of HVS Hotel Management. We wanted The Boulder Outlook to be a unique facility along the Front Range, and with our wonderful view of the mountains, it was quite natural for us to try and capitalize on such beauty by mimicking it within the hotel. By all early indications, it looks like weve succeeded. For guests interested in exploring the Boulder area, The Outlooks Adventure Concierge services, located in the hotels lobby, will provide guests with nearby adventure options including rock climbing, kayaking, fly-fishing and hang gliding. For guests who dont want to leave their animals at home, The Outlooks dedicated pet-friendly rooms have in-room pet carriers, complimentary Fido Gift Packs, and are conveniently located next to the fully enclosed dog walk. The hotel also offers dog walking services and in-room veterinary care. Families traveling with young children will receive complimentary Baby-ready Gift Packs which include diapers, a bib, and organic baby food. Not only have common spaces such as the Boulder Square been renovated throughout The Outlook, but also many of the hotels 162 rooms have been totally refurbished. Individual rooms now boast everything from 27-inch TVs to curved shower-curtain rods that allow for more showering space to remodeled bathrooms to new bedspreads and mattresses. Business travelers will enjoy rooms complete with DVD players and high-speed wireless Internet access. The Outlooks meeting rooms boasting 3,700 square feet of space have also been updated. The Mt. Sanitas Boardroom will be offered to local charities free of charge. Furthermore, The Outlook and HVS Hotel Management will donate 2 percent of profits annually to local charities. Weve re-created this hotel with the thought of providing patrons with a Boulder experience at a very reasonable price, says King. Were certainly eager to share this creation with locals and visitors alike. About HVS Hotel Management
