August 14, 2003, Seabrook Island, S.C. - The Resort at Seabrook Island has named Mark Grosh as its new Director of Sales and Marketing.  In addition to his sales and marketing duties, Grosh is also responsible for conference planning and operations and club membership sales. John Wilderman, Managing Director of The Resort at Seabrook Island, made the announcement.

"We are very pleased to name Mark as Director of Sales and Marketing for The Resort at Seabrook Island," said Wilderman. "With his extensive experience in resorts and conference centers, his success in property transitions and his strong knowledge of the hospitality industry, Mark is a sure fit for The Resort."

Grosh brings more than 12 years of hospitality experience to The Resort at Seabrook Island.  Prior to joining The Resort, Grosh worked for Benchmark Hospitality as the General Manager of the CIBC Leadership Centre outside Toronto, Ontario, Canada.  In that role, he successfully transitioned the property from a private corporate center to a market-leading open-market facility.  Following the sale of the property, now known as The Kingbridge Centre, Grosh led the rollout of the new identity and managed the facility through a major renovation.

Before moving to Canada, Grosh served as Manager of J.P. Morgan's private 23 Wall Street conference center in New York, New York, and opened the Compaq Commons Conference Center in Houston, Texas.  His career also includes more than four years at the Resort at Squaw Creek in Olympic Valley, California, among other properties.  Grosh got his start in sales and marketing in 1987 while with Junior Achievement, Inc., a non-profit organization headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

The Resort at Seabrook Island is a full-service destination resort featuring villas and homes on a private, gated barrier island just 23 miles from charming Charleston, South Carolina. Seabrook Island is home to 2,200 acres of unspoiled beauty surrounded by winding creeks, marshes and the Atlantic Ocean.  The Resort offers two championship golf courses, 15 composition clay tennis courts, an equestrian center, kayaking, pools, and over three miles of wide sandy beaches.
