� Newmarket International � the makers of DelphiTM
and other leading group, sales, catering and banquet solutions � has acquired
the Optimum Settings iiTM graphical event
management software product line from CEO Software Inc. and Donald Cozzetti,
its founder. The acquisition includes the intellectual property rights,
trademarks and client base of Optimum Settings ii (OSii).
As part of the acquisition agreement, CEO Software has committed to sell, install and support Optimum Settings ii in non-hospitality vertical markets, including academic organizations, government institutions and health care facilities. The acquisition gives Newmarket International, which had been reselling OSii to its clients since 2001, the rights to the industry-leading graphical floor plan and seating set-up software. By acquiring this product line, Newmarket International continues to add value to its product offerings and further widens the feature-function gap with competitors. The acquisition of the Optimum Settings ii product line enables any lodging property or hospitality company to experience even greater value with Newmarket International�s existing products. Donald Cozzetti, Founder of CEO Software, said the divestiture of OSii gives CEO Software the ability to focus its resources on the growth of its Scheduler PlusTM and Scheduler Plus iiTM solutions, which help to manage the daily scheduling needs of more than 1,600 organizations. He termed the acquisition �a good fit, a natural progression� of a partnership between two meeting-planning segment leaders. �I founded CEO Software 18 years ago and am approaching at least a semi-retirement age,� said the 69-year-old Cozzetti. �Optimum Settings ii is a terrific product with 1,000+ successful, satisfied installs, and tremendous upside potential. When you come right down to it, while selling OSii wasn�t easy, it was the right thing to do.
