Kissimmee, FL, and Port Allen, LA, Hotels
Sold in Separate Transactions
New York, NY - April 25, 2003 - In two recently completed, separate transactions, private investors acquired a former Quality Inn and a Best Western in Kissimmee, Florida, and Port Allen, Louisiana, respectively.  In both transactions, Insignia/ESG Hotel Partners represented the sellers.
 
DDL Orlando Partners, LLC, a San Antonio-based private investor, sold the 222-room Lake Cecile Inn - a former Quality Inn - in Kissimmee, Florida, to a private investor in a transaction valued at approximately $4.25 million.  Insignia/ESG Hotel Partners was the owner's exclusive representative in this sale.  Scott Stephens, managing director at Insignia/ESG Hotel Partners, oversaw the marketing and disposition of the asset.  After a several hundred thousand dollar renovation, the buyer plans to open the property as a Wellesley Inn.

In a separate transaction, Merrill Lynch Mortgage Investors, Inc., a CMBS lender, sold the 100-room Best Western Magnolia Manor in Port Allen, Louisiana, to a private investor in a transaction valued at approximately $1.9 million.  Insignia/ESG Hotel Partners also represented the owner in this sale.  Tom Ives, senior managing director at Insignia/ESG Hotel Partners, oversaw the marketing and disposition of this asset.
