Health Concerns in Hong Kong and the Asian Region Attributable
to the SARS Virus Forces HOFEX 2003 to Move Dates Foward
to July 15-18,  2003
April 4, 2003  - HOFEX 2003, the 10th Asian International Exhibition of Hospitality Equipment, Supplies and Technology, Food and Drink, has been re-scheduled to run from 15th - 18th July 2003 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, instead of the previously published dates of 6th - 9th May.

This decision was made in response to the serious health concerns in Hong Kong and the Asian region, attributable to the SARS pneumonia virus, and following the numerous travel advisories from many governments, the World Health Organisation and the Centre for Disease Control.

The decision was taken after considerable consultation with both exhibitor and visitor groups, together with the relevant industry and medical authorities in Hong Kong.

Our primary objective in re-scheduling HOFEX 2003 is to safeguard the well-being of our exhibitors and visitors, as well as to ensure the continuing success of the show, said Daniel Cheung, General Manager of organisers Hong Kong Exhibition Services.

All exhibitor and visitor registrations that have already been made are valid for the new dates in July.
