Executive Course on �Convention Management� in Hong Kong in June 2002 |
| May 2002 - Mr. Yao Yuecan, Vice President of
the China International Travel Service will offer rare insights into the
China meeting market to participants of an executive course on �Convention
Management: Association and Corporate Meetings,� that will be held by Hong
Kong Polytechnic University�s School of Hotel & Tourism Management
from 2 June � 4 June 2002.
Following China�s accession to the World Trade Organization and the successful bid for the 2008 Summer Olympics, there is enormous interest in tapping this new market yet little is known. The topic of �tapping new markets� will also be addressed by Mr. Gary Grimmer, Chief Executive Officer of the Convention and Visitors Bureau of Melbourne, Australia � one of the top convention destinations in the world.
